Reynald Joseph

Reynald Joseph was born in Port-au-Prince on July 4, 1973. By the age of thirteen Reynald was using his talent as an artist to earn money for school and books. He left school in 1986.  He studied with Wilfrid Louis, which he considers as his spiritual father. At the age of sixteen he participated in a collective exhibition in Mexico.

"Using Carlo Jean-Jacques' style, Joseph uses sinuous forms to suggest the intense emotions of the present moment," says art critic Gerald Alexis in his book Peintres Haitiens.
